I am without a vehicle, and the only other option i have is to get bugs, and worms from outside. is this okay to do? or will it harm my spider?

no, first it is more comfortable to get them from the petstore…
and second it is more healthier for your tarantula to eat from the petstore ones because the outside may have diseases…..

It’s not worth the risk. Prey items from outside could have come into contact with pesticides and if you feed them to your tarantula, you could kill your pet. You could order a small B.dubia (roach) colony from an online breeder, have it delivered right to your front door and then feed those, while also letting them breed so you never run out of food for your tarantula.
(B.dubias are a great choice because they have no odor like crickets do, they can’t climb and won’t breed in your house if you were to drop one and it scurries away – overall a great feeder! Just give them some water crystals and some crushed up cheap cat food, apples, citrus fruits, etc and you’ll be set).
